There are two well-known job search websites in new Zealand, one at the beginning of s and the other is trademe. There are many professional counterparts and attractive salary positions above. At that time, I summed up my skills and almost marked the work recruitment lists that matched my abilities. according to the requirements of each position, I carefully wrote out the corresponding resumes and cover letter for each recruitment, and then happily sent them out through the website or e - mail.
In order to prevent being unable to answer the phone and to avoid being unable to hear what the other companies said .Due to lack of English skills during the telephone interview, I was not even in a mood to travel and play with water at that time. I stayed in the house everyday and was afraid to miss any phone call. However, a few weeks have passed. Besides receiving an email, which can be viewed that the template replies " I'm sorry, you are not qualified", all resumes sent out are like mud cows entering the sea. I keeped checking whether he has missed the email or failed to submit the resumes through the website. After a period of time, the webmaster no longer wanted to send his resume. I began to wonder whether my technical level was very poor and I could not find an it job in new Zealand.
Finally,I cleared my mind,Those agencies t job advertisements on the website misled you.
New Zealand's largest, seek.co.nz recruitment website, 70 % - 80 % of developers' recruitment positions are not real positions. you are right. only one of the four or five positions is real.
The price of putting an advertisement on new Zealand's recruitment website is still very expensive, and there is still a time limit. when the time comes, the advertisement will still go offline unless the account that posted the advertisement pays the money again to postpone the display. In order to obtain resumes and make their own " talent database", the intermediary companies will sign long-term contracts with the recruitment websites to reduce costs in the form of " bulk purchase". Sometimes the economic situation is not good ( for example, the current new Zealand economy is not good ) and without so many real employers' demands, the intermediary company will " create" a high-paying job to attract others to deliver resumes. Anyway, all the packages listed for work have been purchased, and no money has to be paid. the intermediary companies will naturally put a lot of advertisements in full.
In addition, as the new Zealand immigration department has stricter requirements for recruiting overseas technical personnel, employers must advertise and recruit people in advance and prove that " this person does not exist in new Zealand" before recruiting people from overseas. Even if it is not an advertisement by an intermediary company, but an employer's direct advertisement, in fact, this position is only to meet the requirements of the immigration department and is not really recruiting people.
Real employers are hiring fake people while human resources companies are hiring people for non-existent employers. so how many positions do you think are real when taken together? Therefore, sharing it with friends who are looking for a job in new Zealand also tells everyone why your resume " disappeared".
To put it another way, many headhunters advertise a lot on s and t websites. you will know what those companies are ( they will put out their own logos, in fact, they advertise for themselves ) after looking at them for a week or two. don't think these company logos are very good-looking and must be big companies. tell everyone that there are more than three employees, that is, new Zealand's " big headhunters" and many of them are just one - man - company.
How to identify the job ads is real or fake?
Let's take a look at these:
